WHAT IS A GOOD FLOOR SANDING?
Floor sanding is a process that completely removes the finish from your floor (varnish and stain), exposing the bare wood. Using high-performance machines, our experienced technicians completely sand off the varnish and stain covering the wood.
After sanding your floor, a polishing is done on the entire surface. This process removes all scratches, resulting in a smooth wood ready to be stained in a color of your choice (if desired) and covered with several layers of protective varnish.
FLOOR SANDING AND FINISHING SERVICE
After the floor sanding and polishing step, our technicians can (if desired) apply a stain of the color of your choice to your wood. The stain will instantly change the appearance of your floor. Several stain colors will be offered. You can consult samples that will give you a good idea of the result obtained on stained and varnished wood.
Finally, we will apply several layers of protective varnish, which will protect the wood and extend the life of your floor. In terms of protective varnish, we use water-based varnishes from Vermeister or Bona, which provide high performance protection even in high-traffic commercial environments.
For our clients who prefer the matte and natural finish of oiled floors, our team can apply a transparent oil or a semi-transparent oil-based stain, which deeply hydrates the wood, protects it against abrasion, and provides a beautiful color. The DURASEAL oil stain can also be covered with a satin finish varnish. This oil finish can be applied to an already varnished floor that we can sand and polish.
